Old Traders Lodge is our luxurious bush camp option. Pathways wind through the lodge to reveal 51 intimate suites tucked between indigenous trees and soft green lawns.
Our suites have all the modern conveniences and amenities for a peaceful holiday; just bring your suitcase!
The colonial style restaurant and viewing deck boast magnificent views across a busy waterhole. This is accessible to everyone and safe enough for families to recline at tables under the thatched roof. The deck is secure with a railing in place and electric fencing laid on the wall of the waterhole. However, we always advise our guests to watch their children around water and wild animals.
Our meals are suited to all palates, and our kitchen will gladly assist you with any special dietary requests such as warming milk for toddlers and so on. For the adults, we stock a wide selection of South African wines, spirits and liqueurs. High tea is served every afternoon with delicious sweet and savoury eats. This is a heavenly experience for any sweet tooth.
Old Traders Lodge also offers a swimming pool and kiddies play area. Again, we ask that parents and guardians mind their children while they play. There are numerous activities on offer at Old Traders Lodge that allow you to explore the wilderness. There is an activity board outside the dining hall which gets updated daily. All our game drive activities allow children who are 6 years or older. But, we have a special Under 6’s Game Drive which caters for parents with small children.
